Blogger - This is the most important website for my coursework. This website is a better way to create my coursework as it is quicker to use and easier to publish. One of the advantages of using Blogger is that work cannot be lost like paper and everything is together. As well as this, I could make posts anywhere and my teacher can comment on things that needs to be improved on which is quicker than arranging a one to one. This website is very easy to use.
GarageBand - This was used to create original sounds and the soundtrack to our trailer. This programme is on the Macs. I was unsure on how to use it but slowly I learnt how to.
Camera, tripod and tape - These were lent to us by the college in order to shoot our trailer. Thse were very easy to use. However, it was hard to make sure we did not film over previous shots.
Final Cut Pro - This was the main programme on the Macs we used as we edited our trailer with this. I found it hard to use at first as well but I soon caught the grasp of it. This allowed us to put shots together and cut parts of the shots. This allowed us to create text for the intertitles and speed up or slow down shots.
YouTube - Our group uploaded our first draft and final draft of our horror movie trailer on to the website so we can post it on to our blogs. As our trailer is on YouTube, anyone can rate and make comments about it which would help us to improve our audience feedback and our trailer.
PhotoShop - This helped me create my horror film poster and magazine cover. This fairly easy as I did not have too much on the products. Using this, I can change the colour and the contrast of an image. As well as this, I used to create text to make my ancillary products.
Flickr - I used this website to annotate my promotional poster and magazine cover as well as current movie posters and magazine covers. This allowed me to highlight the conventions of the horror genre, promotional posters and magazine covers.
